Lake Powell

The Newson family takes an annual vacation to Lake Powell. This year Dave and I were able to join 2 of my sisters (Amy and Lindsey), my brother Ryan, my mom, my aunt and uncle, and three of their children and their families and spend a few days at Lake Powell. We had a blast. Each day started off with the ambitious ones getting up and going water skiing and wakeboarding while the water was still calm. I can’t say I have every been a member of this group, but Dave now is. The rest of us would roll out of bed when they got back and would eat breakfast. The rest of the day would be spent relaxing on the houseboat, going for boat rides, water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, riding the wave runners, swimming, jumping off the houseboat, kayaking, eating way too much, playing games, catching frogs and lizards, visiting Rainbow Bridge, and so much more. The water was the perfect temperature this year and the weather was amazing. It rained every evening which I really appreciated because it cooled things down which made sleeping under the stars quite enjoyable. Some of the highlights of the trip included Dave water skiing for the first time in years and me getting up on the wakeboard for the first time. We took a lot of pictures on the trip so here goes…

This was another successful trip to Lake Powell. We had such a wonderful time!!
