Warning: This post contains some great blackmail photos. I should explain that Dave might not love this post, but he sure will give everyone a good laugh which I’m thinking he would not oppose. The story begins the end of April. BYU has a pretty strict grooming policy. Men must be clean shaven at all times and have a conservative haircut. Dave has lived by this standard for the last 7 years. He realized that the break in between graduating college and starting his career in September would be one of the only times in his life that he could let all grooming standards go. He decided to grow out his hair starting in mid-April. By July, his luscious locks were getting quite long and starting to curl at the ends.
Cindy, Dave’s mom asked him to cut his hair for his sister Camille’s wedding in the end of July. That is when Dave came up with the brilliant idea to show up to Oregon for the wedding with a mullet. After all, Cindy just told him to cut his hair, but didn’t give specifics. Dave looked online for tutorials of how to properly cut and style a mullet. His friend agreed to cut his hair. He cut it the week prior to the wedding so that he could enjoy the mullet in everyday life. I think he enjoyed life with a mullet a little too much. He was very tempted to ask a lady he works with for a picture with her mullet and bike, but resisted. Dave figured out a couple of different ways to style his mullet and show off the beauty.
The best moment involving Dave’s mullet was the reaction when we arrived in Oregon. It was priceless. Before any family members even said hello, comments about the mullet were in abundance. Needless to say, no one was encouraging it. Dave also grew a moustache to complete the mullet look. He was looking pretty handsome. Within an hour of arriving, Dave’s Aunt Karen cut the mullet off. I think Dave might have shed a few tears as he saw his hair fall to the ground.
Another look of Dave’s came out when we were in St. George. I heard Dave burst out in laughter while he was in the bathroom. I walked into the bathroom to see what he was laughing about. Dave had his back turned towards me. When he turned around, this is what I saw.
No wonder he was laughing! He had found my grandma’s lipstick and decided to try it out. It was also pretty funny to watch him try and wipe it off. This bright pink shade happened to be long lasting lipstick. The laughs did not stop with the lipstick. Dave found the perfect outfit for a run and couldn’t help but try it on.
Thanks for the great laughs Dave! You never cease to bring a smile to my face!

LOL. I love this post Liz! Thanks for reliving the awesomeness of Dave's mullet and craziness in this post. That pink lipstick and blue running outfit is pretty sweet!
We have all had a few laughs with some findings at Grandma's. Ask Dave (your brother) about finding Grandma's wig one Thanksgiving. That was a memory never to be forgotten!
