Dave and I were able to spend a few days in Ashland following Camille and Bryce’s wedding. We had a lot of fun hanging out with the Morris family. A month or so before the trip, Dave suggested a “Morris Masters tournament.” He designed a poster and invited his brother, dad, and brothers-in-law to a friendly game of golf. Dave went golfing numerous times in preparation for this event. He did not want to loose. His practicing paid off in the end. Dave happily accepted the “Morris Masters” trophy after beating everyone by 12 shots/ points/ not sure what it’s called in golf.
It looks like there is some confusion about who got 5th place:)
Dave spent an afternoon showing me around where he grew up. I had only been to Ashland one other time and so it was fun to see where his “glory days” took place. We walked around Lithia park and stuck our feet in the water for about 30 seconds for the picture because it was freezing! Lithia park is absolutely beautiful. We came within a foot of a deer who was not afraid of people at all. It look very malnourished or maybe that’s how deer look close up.
A few of us decided to have a tennis match one night. Dave was definitely at a huge disadvantage with me as his partner. He’s given me a couple of lessons on hitting the ball, but I hadn’t learned how to serve or play an actual match. Everyone was very patient with me which I appreciated. The Morris’s are all very good at tennis and it was fun to watch them. Jake and Stacey won. They were definitely intimidating with their matching shirts:) We made a late night run to 7-11 on our way home and Shane was well prepared with his giant Slurpee mug.
We went over to Jake and Stacey’s Sunday night and played a past-time favorite of the Morris’s- three catches or three passes. Can’t remember what it’s called. Either way, it was very entertaining! Cindy (Dave’s mom) was really impressive. Dave and Jake really got into it. In the bottom photo, Stacey’s carrying a picture that fell off the wall. Apparently we were getting a little too into three catches.
We had a wonderful time in Oregon. The Morris family was great. I was fun that we could all be together for a few days!

What a great post Liz! I hadn't seen any of these pictures! The one with Shane and my dad both holding up #5 was hilarious, and the three-catches ones were awesome too. I'm still bummed I missed out on the tennis tournament!
